1983 BMW Baur Topcabriolet E30 2Cab (02)

The BMW E30 is a compact executive car with rear-wheel-drive layout (except the all-wheel-drive 325iX) produced by BMW. The BMW M3 was first introduced on the E30 platform.
The E30 was released in 1982 and replaced by the BMW E36 in 1990. BMW continued to produce the cabriolet (convertible) E30 well into 1993 and the touring until 1994.
The cars were powered by a range of inline 4-cylinder (BMW M10, BMW M40, & BMW M42) and inline 6-cylinder (BMW M20 and BMW M21) engines, with both petrol and diesel power. The E30 BMW M3 was fitted with a high-revving 4-cylinder petrol engine (BMW S14) which produced 175 kW (238 PS; 235 hp) in its final European-only iteration.
The E30 3-Series was produced in the following body styles: a four-door saloon, a two-door coupe, a five-door estate (marketed as the "touring"), a two-door convertible (the M3 cabriolet was only offered for the European market) and a Baur cabriolet.

Der BMW E30 wurde ab Anfang 1983 in kleiner Stückzahl ausschließlich als Zweitürer auch von der Firma Baur aus Stuttgart zum Cabriolet umgebaut und vom BMW-Händlernetz vertrieben. Es konnten hierbei alle Benzinmotoren gewählt werden. Das Baur TC (vergleiche dessen Vorgänger BMW E21 Baur TC oder BMW 02 Baur TC) war jedoch kein Vollcabriolet. So blieben die Seitenscheibenrahmen und ein Überrollbügel bestehen. Das stabile Dachteil über den Vordersitzen konnte wie ein Targadach geöffnet werden, der hintere Dachbereich ließ sich wie bei einem Landaulet öffnen. Als Einzelstück entstand bei Baur im Jahr 1988 ein Topcabriolet auf Basis der viertürigen Limousine. Das Fahrzeug, das nie offiziell vorgestellt wurde, stand mehrere Jahre in der firmeneigenen Fahrzeugausstellung und befindet sich heute im Besitz eines privaten BMW-Sammlers.

My Car

Went and took some photos of my car today because i am selling it. Thought i would do some over the top HDR on it for a bit of fun - came out ok! Its a 1 shot HDR (-1, -.5, 0, .5, 1), f/4, 14mm, 1/500". Obviously some HDR work in Photomatix, curves and cropping in GIMP.
