The Opel Rekord was a large family car/executive car which was built in several generations by the German car manufacturer Opel.
About 1.1 million Rekord Ds were made. Because the name Rekord D was easily mistaken to connote a diesel-powered car, the name Rekord II was often used in sales literature. The first prototype was ready in 1971. The engine types available were 1897 cc, 1698 cc and 2068 cc CIH (cam-in-head) four-cylinder gasoline engines. There was also a diesel version.

Der vom Designer Chuck Jordan gezeichnete Opel Rekord D wurde 1971 als Nachfolger des Opel Rekord C vorgestellt. Anfangs hieß er "Rekord II", um nicht als Dieselmodell missgedeutet zu werden.
Den Opel Rekord D gab es als Basisversion, als Luxusversion "Rekord L" und mit sportlicher Ausstattung als "Rekord Sprint". Ab 1975 kam dann noch eine Version "Berlina" hinzu, die gegenüber der "L"-Version noch mehr auf Komfort und Ausstattung setzte. Die Produktionszahl von 1 Mio. Rekord D wurde mit dem Sondermodell "Millionär" gefeiert. Weitere Sondermodelle waren "Maharadscha", "Hit" und "Sport".

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta (series 750 and 101) was a subcompact automobile manufactured by the Italian car maker Alfa Romeo from 1954 to 1965. The Giulietta was introduced at the Turin Motor Show in 1954 and almost 132,000 were built in the Portello factory in Milan.
The first Giulietta model was a coupé, the Giulietta Sprint, introduced in late 1954. This was followed by a sedan in spring 1955 and in mid 1955, the open two-seat Giulietta Spider, featuring convertible bodywork by Pininfarina. In 1957 the most powerful version, called Giulietta TI (Turismo Internazionale) was presented with minor cosmetic changes to the hood, the dial lights and rear lamps.
Carrozzeria Colli also made the Giulietta station wagon variant called Giulietta Promiscua. 91 examples of this version were built.[4] Carrozzeria Boneschi also made a few station wagon examples called Weekendina.[5]

Die Alfa Romeo Giulietta ist eine Modellreihe von Automobilen des Herstellers Alfa Romeo, die von 1954 bis 1964 in verschiedenen Karosserievarianten hergestellt wurde.
Die Giulietta war die erste auf Großserie ausgelegte Modellreihe von Alfa Romeo und gleich ein großer Erfolg. Während der Alfa Romeo 1900, mit dem Alfa Romeo auf die Fertigung in Montagelinien umgestellt hatte, noch in einer gehobenen Fahrzeugklasse angesiedelt war, waren die kompakten Giulietta für größere Bevölkerungskreise erschwinglich.
Dabei ließen es die Giulietta nicht an technischer Raffinesse fehlen. Nicht nur der Zylinderkopf, sondern auch der Motorblock war aus einer leichten und gut Wärme abführenden Aluminiumlegierung gegossen. Gleich zwei obenliegende Nockenwellen machten die Motoren überaus drehzahlfreudig. Seinerzeit war das pure Rennsporttechnik. Andere Großserienhersteller boten noch jahrzehntelang Motoren mit einer untenliegenden Nockenwelle, Stoßstangen und Rümpfen aus Gusseisen an. Von ihren deutschsprachigen Besitzern wurden die Giulietta oft liebevoll "Julchen" genannt.
