Camp Barnes is a free summer youth camp that is run by the Delaware State Police. The Delaware International Speedway in Delmar, DE holds this special event each summer and donates all of the proceeds to Camp Barnes. This is the 40th anniversary of the event.

Shortly after arriving in the downtown core of Toronto, we met up with the tail end of protestors. We saw Black Bloc terrorists moving away from King and Bay. We started to follow the protestors and noticed what we thought was tear gas being shot in to the crowd. We got closed, and realized it was actually a Police car, TAVIS unit 56 which had been smashed in, spray painted and then set ablaze.

I stayed in the area taking photos, and soon realized Police had us surrounded on all 4 sides. They would not let us leave the fire zone, and kept the 20 - 30 of us in front of the first fire, and right in front of the second fire of Unit #730, which caught fire after police passed by.

There was some woman drugged out of her mind driving a car, the police stopped the car and smashed the car window and arrested her, it was amazing seeing the reaction of the crowd to the police, they were treated like heroes. This is after the main event when I was able to get to a photo vantage point, I first thought it was a show being put on for the crowd but it wasn’t.
